Top 5 tips to treat acne that actually work – Tip #1

After having acne from the age of 15 to 25 I’ve had my fair share of buying useless products and experimenting with my skin only to end up with tears of frustration and an empty wallet. I want to spare you from the same situation, so here’s my tip #1 for remedies that actually work to control acne!

Tip #1

Open your medicine bag and let’s find that ibuprofen. Aspirin works too! Painkiller pills (not the strong ones) have antiinflammatory qualities that are going to #1 Cut the swelling in your acne by half  #2 Reduce the redness  #3 Ease the pain of those deep devils #4 Bring the nasties to the surface for easier extraction.

How to use*

– First crush the pill using the back of a spoon or some other safe method.

– Place well ground powder into a container or bottle cap.

– There are several liquid options ~ You can use apple cider vinegar to help with healing your acne scars (be warned it will sting open wounds and sensitive areas), your daily facial toner with antibacterial properties, or good ol’ fashioned water.

– Mix the liquid and powder to form a paste. After cleansing the skin spread paste onto acne spot(s). For best results let it sit overnight and it will just crumble off. Don’t wear this paste as a full facial mask and treat only the areas that need to be treated. Treating your unblemished skin with unnecessary treatments can create an imbalance in the pH levels causing the skin to become sensitive and/or create acne in new places. Maybe not per say this exact treatment will cause this, but unnecessary treatment can disturb the skin. Less is better!

(Note* to get the most from this treatment, I suggest taking a hot shower, cleansing your face, using a facial toner to cut the bacteria down, using a hot and cold compress for deep cysts, and then apply the paste. Keep applying it every day until the pore has been cleaned out and only a pink after blemish scar remains.)

Sometimes the acne runs deep and may need to be cleaned out several times. If that’s the case, keep applying this treatment until the spot has lost all swelling and the skin’s surface is smooth. This step is very important because if you allow the wound to close without fully extracting what’s inside it will close, heal, and then later come again fully infected as a deep cyst.
