Trends of the New Gothic Era ~Special Halloween Edition!!!~

~Chapter 8~ Top Picks for Halloween

Finally the time has come for us to wear our fashion to its fullest gothic glory. It’s almost Halloween! So let’s get straight to it. Here are my top three picks for the most fashionable and sexy gothic looks to make your winter solstice the best night possible. These looks are simple, affordable, and once Halloween is over you can still find ways to wear them every day!

Witchtacular

Witches are a must for Halloween and who says they have to be ugly or overly sexy. By choosing simple flowing black clothes and a pair of nice black tights all that’s left is to find a cute witch’s hat. These types of hats are becoming popular in every day fashion and look great for your summer, fall, and winter wardrobe. Adding a few key accessories to complete your look such as moon shaped necklaces or crystal accessories can really give it a nice touch. You’ll want to choose clothes that flow for a more mystical feel. If your outfit feels flat or too curve enhancing try putting on a few more layers of black clothes to give the illusion of movement.

Tribal Roots

Right now I’m obsessed with nordic inspired fashion. This look will take a lot of time and effort but it’s worth it. Tribal painting can be fun and your friends can help you make it look just right. Find furs, flowing type forest gowns or heavy coats, and any clothes with a huntress or hunter vibe to it and add a pair of lace up boots to complete this look. The outfit doesn’t matter as much when your face will surly bring the most attention. Hair can be left messy, paired with braids, or rock your natural bed hair. The more wild the better.

Gossamer Ghosts

I love this look because there are so many variations. Ghosts can be haunting and scary or beautiful and elegant it’s your choice! With a frilly doll like dress or even a wedding dress vibe a simple sheer or lace cloth can be draped over your entire body for that extra haunting affect. It will conceal your face, hair, and most of your clothes so no need for hours of complicated makeup tutorials to follow or paying for expensive dresses. For this look it’s key to keep things simple and most importantly black or white. If you know the party venue will be somewhere with safe ground dare to go bare foot for that slight ring of insanity and enjoy the feeling of nature between your toes.

Witches, tribal scavengers, and ghosts with these three looks you can easily assemble them from clothes you already own for an inexpensive yet still spooktacular look. There are many great ideas so feel free to share your Halloween inspirations below! Happy Halloween!
