Pore scrub foam face wash by Innisfree
A pore clearing solution containing clusters of Jeju volcanic ash that absorb sebum and dirt while leaving your pores fresh and clean. It helps to minimize the appearance of gaping pores and tightens them with its ash ingredients.
How to use*
Apply a pea sized amount to damp face. Massage over the skin for 1~2 minutes and wash away with cold water. Apply daily skin care routine as usual.
Pros
~ Cleans out oil and dirt from the pores
~ Leaves the skin feeling soft
~ Doesn’t dry out the skin
~ Contains mostly natural based ingredients
Cons
~ Very sharp feeling scrub that gets caught under the skin and scratches the surface
~ Causes deep breakouts later on
~ Majorly clogs pores
~ Contains finely ground volcanic pumice which isn’t healthy to use on the face
Product Results
At first I thought this product worked so well. My skin was soft and smooth my pores clean and clear until about a month later then I saw the real results. The small granules of volcanic pumice had wedge themselves deep into my pores and became infected resulting in cystic acne. I didn’t catch on at first because I have to wear a mask daily at work so I thought that was the culprit. Once I stopped using the wash my skin gradually cleared up again. It was the wash! The pumice was ground on such a fine level, but it still felt harsh and painfully sharp on my thin skin. I don’t recommend this product as a face wash. It might do wonders for the neck and body, but it’s too harsh for the face and not healthy to use. As for its sister product the Pore Cleansing Face Foam that one works wonders because it contains the same ingredients but minus the abrasive pumice! Check out the full review. Goodbye Pore Scrub Foam and onto the next!
