Moisturizing lavender base cream SPF 28 PA++ by Etude House
A thin lavender tinted base cream giving a paler radiant glow to your skin. It provides SPF 28 PA++ coverage and moisturizing properties to keep your skin hydrated for an all day dewy appearance.
How to use*
After cleansing skin and using daily moisturizers apply a small amount over entire face before starting your makeup routine. For more coverage apply in gradual amounts and blend well.
Pros
~ Doesn’t clog pores or cause acne
~ Light and weightless coverage
~ Gives skin a dewy appearance and high shine without sparkles or shimmer additives
~ Great hydration throughout the day
~ Medium strength coverage SPF throughout the day (not recommended for a long day at the beach)
Cons
~ Is very dewy so it makes the skin greasy looking *I like this look, but if you like matte makeup it won’t be good
~ Lavender color didn’t really have any effects in improving my skin tone because it was so thin. The color seemed to disappear
~ No coverage for acne or improving the skin’s color tone
~ Doesn’t blur or cover larger pores or deep wrinkles
Product Results
If you’re looking for heavy coverage this isn’t the right product for you. The coverage is very light and natural. It blended into the skin seamlessly and there was no caking with my make-up. It’s a great product for those who wear minimal makeup or just want something simple, good for the skin, and protection from the sun. I liked the moisturizing effects of the base cream, but I was hoping for a little more results of the lavender tone. It was too thin for it to really change the overall color of my skin or create a smooth creamy base look. I also didn’t like the fact most of my larger pores were still visible. It’s best property is the dewy appearance it gives your skin without the addition of large sparkles or shimmering ingredients. I’ll keep this one for now but search for a heavier coverage cream for next time.
