When buying this product, I didn’t notice it was a makeup keeping SPF spray, so I’d used it all over my body. It didn’t lock in my makeup like other finishing sprays would, but it did protect me from the sun when travelling between buildings and locations. I don’t recommend it for a day at the beach, theme parks, for swimming, or long exposure to the sun. I got burnt to a crisp even after applying it several times when at the beach. It’s more of a quick spray for daily protection when you’ll mostly be indoors. The spray was super convenient and I’m glad I could find a sunscreen that wasn’t greasy and wouldn’t ruin my clothes but also provide some kind of protection. That being said they do offer another one made specifically for sunscreen usage only. I recommend that one instead of this makeup locking formula because honestly, they worked the same the only difference was the scent.
The reason I give it three stars is because the claims it makes as being a strong protectant and waterproof proved to not be as strong as they claimed. I’ll give four stars to the UV Protection Spray as it seemed a lot better than the Makeup Hold one.
