Pros

~ Great color lift for light to dark ash blondes

~ Natural looking blonde finish

~ Not overly damaging on virgin hair

~ Turns a bit brassy just in time for the regrowth touch up so you can’t tell (or just use purple shampoo to freshen color)

~ Conditioner is great for protecting the hair

Cons

~ One bottle not enough for long hair (saturate thouroughly so buy 2 or 3!)

~ Conditioner doesn’t tone hair like some of their other box dyes do

I’ve been using this box dye for years and I’m glad to say there is no carrot orange in my hair. It’s a great match for light ash blondes who want to go a step lighter. It didn’t kill my hair and my scalp didn’t burn at all with this one. I’m not sure if they use a level 40 or 30 developer but I wish I knew! Not recommended for those who have dark, damaged, or colorful hair or it will turn your hair a not so good color. Also please note my hair type and color just in case you have the same kind. The strands of my hair are fine in thickness. In the photo below you can see highlight type reds along with the blonde shades. I am naturally half strawberry blonde so those are the red tones you are seeing. If your hair is redder the color will come out redder in undertones and somewhat brassy. My hair on top is light ash so that comes out whiter. Hope this helps!
